Minas Alexiou-Summer Group Exhibition
Born and raised in Aradippou, Larnaca, Minas is the first of four siblings. He showed interest in art from a very early age drawing dinosaurs as his favorite subject! Having spent most of his childhood battling leukemia, he had a lot of time to practice his art skills in hospital.
After recovering, Minas finished his schooling in Cyprus and went on to The University of Creative Arts in Canterbury ,Kent, where he graduated earning a distinction in his Foundation Year and a degree in Fine Arts.
After his studies and during the last year of his Degree he had the opportunity to work and co-operate with muralists, decorators, a byzantine artist and restorers in the UK, Finland and Cyprus. Meanwhile he was teaching art and creating his own artworks taking every chance to be part of many art exhibitions and having his first solo art exhibition in October 2014 and his second one in March 2019.
Straight after his first solo art exhibition he moved to Greece and participated in a European Voluntary Service project for 5 months.
Returning back to Cyprus in March 2015, he continued producing artworks and working on commissions.
Since September 2015 Minas Alexiou has worked as an Art Teacher for a Private School in Larnaca .
