As an observer, I depict people and places of my surroundings and seek to explore colour, movement and personality of the subjects.
I see myself as a painter of the plain-air technique, attempting to capture that elusive moment when time appears to stand still. Embracing this concept wholeheartedly, it has become an important feature in my works. The spontaneity and vivacity of this painting technique and the devotion to the close observation of nature and people has been the focus of my art.
It is my beloved Island of Cyprus that holds the key to my passion for landscape, figurative and portrait painting.
