Vasileia Anaxagorou is an interdisciplinary artist based in Larnaca, Cyprus. She graduated from the University of Nottingham obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Politics. Following her postgraduate degree in History from Goldsmiths College, University of London she decided to move to New York and continue her studies in BFA Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She then graduated from the University of Oxford obtaining an MFA in Fine Arts.
Vasileia’s practice revolves around an interdisciplinary approach about the body, deconstruction, absence and presence, and women and trauma, and more precisely how women resiliently navigate their lives after trauma incorporating the Cyprus landscape in her work. She has exhibited in London, Cyprus, Greece, New York and Portugal.
